Umlazi-born producer Astrotone has officially joined the MaxNote Media roster through Eden Groove Sounds, marking a massive milestone in his growing music career. To celebrate this new chapter, he is set to drop his highly anticipated new single, “Lunar Eclipse,” on Friday, 7 August 2026.
Just as a lunar eclipse is a rare and awe-inspiring phenomenon, the upcoming track serves as a sonic metaphor for Astrotone’s current trajectory. The song captures the essence of a once-in-a-lifetime transition, channeling the unique changes happening in his personal life and career into deep, atmospheric grooves. Astrotone’s roots in production trace back to 2018, when his passion for deep house first caught fire. Heavily inspired by the genre’s titans and iconic imprints like House Afrika and Stay True Sounds, he spent years discovering and refining his signature style.
